Only had and used a few of times so far but this lead is very nice to hold in the hand and has a easy lock unlock button, but best of all its very lightweight, it comes with a poo bag holder and a starter pack of bags so your all ready to go, also I found the round cord type leads get caught up when released this one does not do that as its a strip type cord, very happy so far.PLEASE NOTE my dog was happy to model the lead but as you can see from the pictures he asked that his identity be kept secret.I've had many issues in the past with retractable leads that get stuck and break. I've had no issues with this one so far. It's well packaged and comes with biodegradable poop bags in an egg-shaped dispenser that can be hooked onto to back of the lead handle or just about anywhere! The poop bags are excellent quality and I haven't had a single one tear on me.The lead itself is reasonably lightweight and ergonomic. A button on the top halts the retraction and this can then be locked into place using a smaller button that you push forwards. I've had no issues. The retraction is smooth and tangle free. The length of the lead is more than enough for my needs and the reflective stitching down the length of the lead is a nice touch. The simple D-clip works fine. Overall I think this is excellent value for money and I am happy to recommend it!This would have been a five star review had it not been for (what we think) is a major security flaw in the collar fastening...The GoodThe material of the leash is very comfortable for us (and the dog) and the elastic bungee bit works brilliantly as does the seat belt clip. It looks really smart in red!The BadUnfortunately, the clip attaching it to the dog’s harness simply unclips itself when our dog turns back on himself. The first time he came loose we thought we just hadn’t attached it properly but it happened again and again...The PanickyWe’ve recently adopted our dog so obedience is still pretty hit and miss - chasing a lively three year old cockapoo down before he reaches the main road is not good for my health! I definitely won’t repeat my partner’s language when Benji, suddenly free, jumped into the front of the car as he was driving him to the vet...The End FixWe’ve sort of solved it by adding a camping carabiner and making sure that we fix one on in one direction then clipping the proper fixing on in the opposite direction. This way if he escapes from the leash clip the carabiner is still attached. All the leash needs to make it superb is a more secure collar/harness clip.Maybe the clip on our leash was a faulty one and they’re usually stiffer but please please make sure your dog can’t accidentally unhook themselves before you use this to strap them in on a car journey - better to be safe...This dog leash came nicely packaged & delivery was in the time that was stated.The leash feels lightweight and the lead extends easily. My dog weighs 23kg & it was perfect for him. The lead itself is made of a durable material & feels strong & secure. The mechanism to extend & retract works smoothly. The button works easily. The leash is very comfortable to hold. It extends just further than 16 feet.The leash comes with a Clip on poo bag holder, a roll of poo bags are provided. I thought it would be irritating attached to the lead but that was not the case. It is easily unclipped if necessary. Overall I would rate this product 5 stars & highly recommend.A great quality retractable dog lead.It was delivered within 24hrs, and I must say I was impressed with the quality - from the packaging, right through to the build quality of the lead and the ease of use.I bought a ‘medium’ lead, and although my dog is right on the upper weight limit for this size (and she pulls for England given half a chance!) it was plenty strong enough to hold her.At the beginning of a walk, her pulling is at its worst so I simply flick the thumb latch/lock on the handle, and keep her on a fixed, short lead.Once she’s burnt off a bit of energy, I then allow her more freedom and let the lead extend. The fully extended length is about 16ft.The lead also comes with a matching poop bag holder (ready stocked) that clips onto the handle, so I’m never caught out in an emergency.Lastly, having used retractable leads in the past, I must say how much I appreciate the leash part being made of strong ‘tape’, as opposed to a thin cord. It just feels so much more reliable.Recommended.
