I ordered the large because the harness is listed to fit a chest of 25- 40 inches. My dog has a 26 inch chest. However, when I put it on my dog it was far too loose even when adjusted to it's smallest size. The harness I received has a tag that states 25-40 inches, but in actuality measures 29 inches when fully tightened and 45 inches when fully extended.
