I have an English Bulldog that sits in the front seat of my Mini Cooper because he's too heavy for me to pick up and put in the backseat and he won't get back there on his own. I kept trying to think of ways to improvise a safety belt for him. My concern was being in an accident and him not being restrained. I found this and it solved all my problems.My dog already wears a harness, so I just wanted it for the connector belt. He's almost 60 lbs, so I had to hook up the seatbelt under him to stop the sensor from going off and chiming every 10 seconds. Since this clips into the seatbelt, I don't have to do that anymore. I bought the red so it's easy to find in my car that has black leather interior.Since I haven't used the harness, I can't comment on that, but the belt is easily adjusted and both it and the clip seem well made.UPDATE: I should add that my car has a sensor that recognizes someone light is in the seat and turns the passenger airbag off when my dog is on it. A commenter pointed out that an airbag and a dog is a terrible combination, so I wouldn't recommend my same setup unless you have the sensors in your car.
