Hurtta harnesses are suitable for active walks for all dogs, but they are especially recommended for dogs with back and neck problems. When the dog pulls on the leash, the close-fitting harness distributes pressure evenly across the chest, preventing damages to the dog’s vertebrae. Thanks to the wide padding and ergonomic design, the harness is comfortable and does not cause wear on the dog’s fur or skin. Easy and quick to put on, both dog and owner will get accustomed to the harness in no time. Made from durable Neoprene, the harnesses are fitted with efficient 3M reflectors. Thanks to the addition of a fastener, the armpit padding stays in place when the dog is moving, providing protection from the clip buckle.
NO TWO DOGS ARE THE SAME - Don’t guess on the size. Use the size chart along with the “Measuring Your Dog” size guide. The chest measurement is the most important for harnesses

I have never written an amazon review before, so you know it's gotta be really good for me to spend time typing one up! I've been looking for a harness for a while and I'm so glad I decided on this one. My dog is not a puller so she didn't need any of the fancy easy-walk type harnesses but I did want something that would be comfortable to hike in as well as give her the mobility when hiking, running alongside mountain bikes, walks around the block, and for agility lessons. The most important part for me was having something to hold on to when hiking if I need to hold her back or if I need to haul her up onto rocks on hikes and the harness has the most perfect little piece of material that can double as a handle when I need it to.Pros:- Easy to adjust- Has handle to hold on to if needed (BIG plus as she's mostly off leash on our adventures!)- Harness is padded, more comfort for the dog- Absolutely no rubbing in the armpits or chests like other harnesses I've encountered- The small ring where you clip your leash moves around the back handle which makes walking easier as the harness doesn't get pulled to the side and the leash stays on the side you're walking on. Harnesses that get pulled around from side to side and get all lopsided have always bothered me, so this harness is amazing in that it counters that issue so well!- Holds up well in the water, dries fast- High quality. This harness has been through some crazy adventures and it's held up great! Looks brand new.- Need I say more...?Cons:- Honestly, NONE. The only thing I could think of is (and perhaps I'm doing it wrong) putting the harness on and taking it off. The chest strap has a little plastic piece that clips onto the harness which is great for keeping everything together and to keep the buckle from touching the dog however it's kind of a slight pain to attach and reattach when you put it on and take it off. I've taught my dog to put her head down so I can slip it on and off without having to disconnect the plastic piece, but it seems like an odd design to me. It makes more sense when you see the actual harness! The only thing I have as a piece of advice for anyone looking into this harness, I would NOT recommend it as a harness to help with a dog that pulls. This harness is definitely not a no-pull harness and if anything will reinforce the pulling due to the design of the leash being clipped onto the back, with the weight being distributed on the lower chest. If you want a fun looking, simple harness for hikes, walks, or any other dog sport, this is for SURE the harness to get.I have a 45lb Australian Shepherd and got the 32", it fits perfectly! My dog is 26" around, and his chest isn't very deep but is very wide. I tried the 28" harness and then the 31" harness, and on both of them the strap that goes around the front is much too short. The harness rides in his sensitive armits and on top tends to sit on the back of his neck in front of his armits. The front strap is not adjustable, I would have loved to have known the measurement of this strap prior to purchase and saved myself a couple of returns. That said, the 31" size is actually the maximum size of this harness. Don't be afraid to order big, the strap that goes around under the dog is all one width, so it can be adjusted as small as you like. The harness also comes in a 36" size that may have been suitable for my dog, but I decided to order the PDC ComfortFlex instead because reviewers often say the front strap on that one is too big. Hopefully it will be a perfect fit. There are plent of nice things to say about this harness, it is extremely easy to put on and take off. My neurotic dog loved it because I didn't have to touch his feet to put it on him, and the neck hole is big enough to put over his head without touching his ears. The hardware is very light and unobtrusive. The leash ring is very small and light compared to the strap it's on, so it doesn't weigh the strap down or swing around and hit the dog. My dog hates the feeling of clothes and most harnesses, but he didn't mind wearing this one at all.The harness was everything we expected. It fit wonderful and my bonkers Blue Heeler/Pointer mix hasn't complained a bit. He still doesn't like to be on it when walking because he'd prefer to run ballistic all over the place. But, we do not have a fenced yard just yet so.... The good news is, he doesn't resit this one much at all and he hasn't been able to slip it either. This harness goes on very quickly with little effort and is sturdy. The quality is top notch. If I had one complaint, it is this: In order to get the right size to fit around my dog's under side, I had to ger the 28" - he was just over the 24" size. But, because he isn't broad chested by any means, the piece that goes across his chest is fairly loose. Because of that, when we left the harness on him for him to get use to it, he manged to get it in his mouth and chew on it a bit and was able to do some damage. Not enough to limit the harness at all - we caught him before he got that far - but enough that it appears chewed up. Again, no real damage, just the looks. BUT, because of the way it fits, there isn't much leeway with a more slender built dog. This harness is made of sturdy neoprene material. It appears to be comfortable and the front strap sits high on my dog’s chest, enabling him to move freely. My only minor complaint is with the plastic clip designed to hold the excess strap after adjusting the sizing to fit your dog. The clip is flimsy and will undoubtedly break fairly soon. Otherwise, this is a high quality item. The back strap and clips make it perfect for nosework class.I purchased both the 35” and 32” sizes in order to try them both on my 60 pound Labrador. He has a fairly wide chest for his size. Both sizes adjust to fit him well. The main difference is that the straps on the 35” are about half an inch wider. We prefer the wider straps for a more comfortable fit our dog. The pictures show both harnesses, with the 35” size on the right.I saw it on another dog in Pets Mart and immediately thought that was what I needed. The owner gave me the GW Little name. I ordered two and am very pleased. They are sturdy and seem to be comfortable on my dogs. I had to return one for a larger size and was very pleased with the return service. I will recommend them to all my pet-lover friends. The harness itself is lovely. It's the type I like for my dog and I've been looking to purchase one. But...My little dog has a 21-22" chest and a quick measure confirmed it. I ordered the harness as I thought I'd treat him to a more expensive, attractive one. It arrived and is simply too small. I didn't need to try it on him, but placed it over his head and sure enough it's about an inch too small, at its loosest. My boy's measurements sit just under the stated max adjustable size.To return it I need to pay postage and the customer can't contact the seller. I also need access to a printer, which neither I nor friends have, so will have to find somewhere to do that. A heads up of the return policy would have been nice, if not mandatory. Others I know are also interested in this harness, but they will be shopping elsewhere. My pup came with a Hurta harness when we got her at 15 weeks and when she outgrew it we looked at so many different ones in the stores, even bought one kind, but non felt as good as the Hurta so we have now bought the next size up for her. They are a comfortable fit, not too tight, feels safe so even if she backs up she won't come out of it, and no rubbing under her front legs. The clip is near the shoulders which is better than most others where it is mid back. On her first one the bit of the connecting fabric under the buckle did wear through, but the buckle itself is sturdy so it didn't really matter. On the whole best harness I've come across.Love this harness. Cuts down on fur matting from the bigger coverage ones, and when it's wet (which is often!) it dries out quickly. We do cut the weird little clasp under the main clip off, as it's a pain to handle. Great in the car with the dog seat belt tooTried a number of different harnesses for my Border Collie; this one is definitely the best. I'm on my 3rd one now (but only because the dog keeps growing & need to keep ordering a bigger one!). You can get a matching lead too, which is of the same excellent quality. My second purchase of this great Hurtta harness, so as to have a spare. Comfortable and adjustable fit, with a one click sturdy (plastic) release. For me its winning feature is the grab handle standing slightly proud of one's dog (as per photo) This has the ring for lead attachment on it, and is perfect for light restraint by hand as needed. When the weather calls for it, any coat with a 'harness ring hole' will still fit.Out of four harnesses we own, this is my boy's favourite.
