Ok, I bought LOTS of size "extra small" puppy collars for my puppy photoshoot (all photos are copyright zansboxers and cannot be used without permission).This was the only collar that was ALMOST too small. Being the nature of the collar,it's hard to get the hardware to wrap much smaller than this, but I feel like a size larger would cause the same hardware to be too heavy on such tiny pups.I bought this as a prop for my 7 week old Frenchton puppy litter (cross between a french bull dog and a boston terrrier) along with a few other brands. All the other collars were a perfect fit, this one was almost too small.If you are buying this for an 8 week old puppy, but the next size up (small). The pup won't be able to wear it for a few weeks, but once he can he will be able to wear it longer.The colors are great, I bought brown. I love the brass-colored hardwear, looks VERY posh, and nice break from the stainless you see so much of.The leather is fake, but looked real enough where I wondered if I should condition it to make it more pliable.I plan to offer these on my website as amazon affiliate links (if I can) for my puppy owners to purchase later if they wish. Very pleased overall.I recently adopted a 3 month old Belgian Malinois. I know he is going to grow rapidly but the size I currently have fits perfect! I love how the thickness of the collar looks on him. Plus the gold spikes it makes him look fierce. It was worth the money!Looks like it’s good quality spikes are sharp. Fits my bull terrier, 2 month old pup on very last whole entry so I’m sure it’ll fit as he grows.The product was as advertised and made of high quality materials. This does have pretty sharp spikes if that’s what you’re looking for.Too small. But nicely madeThat's a nice fitGreat collar but,,,,, The spikes should be at the top not underneath. Looks good but the D ring that attaches to the lead turns the collar upside down. The protection should be at top as when a large dog goes for your small dog it will always go for the neck. I found a new D ring and put it where it should be so leaving the spikes underneath. Trust me, from experience that is where the protection should be. I had a greyhound grab my small dog and it went for the neck as to all attackers. He got a mouthful of spikes and it yelped and backed off, otherwise my boy would have been shaken to death.really great productThis collar is absolutely gorgeous. It's skookum and of great quality and fine craftsmanship. Some reviews said it was narrow/thin, but I disagree, but I did buy this for my 30lb beefcake of a Boston Terrier. Even if this was for a large dog, I wouldn't consider it narrow.The spikes are definitely sharp. But if they weren't, then they wouldn't be spikes.At first glance this collar looks like top notch quality but the week after the return window closed, it started to fall appart. Was never left in the rain as our dog is a inside as well as outside 4 month old pup. It started to tarnish as well within a couple of weeks of wearing but I just thought that looked cool so I didn't plan on returning it based on that. Now I'm stuck with something that it falling appart and will have to buy another after having this one for only 6 weeks. Not recommended unless you like wasting your money.Got the dark blue, it Looks amazing. It’s not as wide as I thought, but I’m still in love with it. It’s about an inch wide. I got the medium for my 32 pound dog. it fits in the second hole, with two fingers underneath it. It seems like a good quality collar. I Would definitely buy it again.
